Bees and Butterflies

Righs Respecting Schools UN Convention on Rights of the Child, Article 17
At Harry Roberts we inspire the children to develop their love of nature and this is a real strength of our school.

In recent weeks we have been learning about metamorphosis and watching caterpillars transform into butterflies. Our children have been learning the correct vocabulary such as larvae, metamorphosis and cocoon and can tell you all about caterpillars changing into butterflies. Our first butterfly emerged this week.

We have also been learning that we need to help save bees and we received some flower seeds from The Bee Society. We have planted these special seeds which will attract bees.
