Today we held a very successful Bike Day when children brought their bikes and scooters to nursery. This event is part of our Travel Plan action which encourages sustainable travel. Many children took part and were very kind about sharing their bikes and scooters with their friends. They labelled their bikes (Literacy), developed their cycling skills (Physical Development), celebrated a special event with friends (Understanding the World) and shared with each other (Personal, Social and Emotional Development). We also made a collection for Unicef as part of our work on Rights Respecting Schools. Article 31 Every child has the right to relax and play

We spotted flowers, played in the water and did lots of climbing. We had a picnic and even had ice cream! You have the right to play and rest.

UN Convention Rights of the Child, Article 14 On Wednesday the 27th of June we had an ‘Equalitea’. This was a special tea to celebrate 100 years of equality in voting. Our neighbours, from Emmott Senior Citizen Lodge came to have tea and freshly made scones in our garden.Thank you to our visitors for coming and thank you to our governors for helping out.
